At first a testing approach depends on a type of application (mobile, desktop, web etc.) and resources (quantity and quality of people, time limits, money). Planning of testing phase and any other have to consider these conditions.

For successful testing of software it's important to define testing tactics, types of testing which will be used, equipment for testing which ensure covering of all product and finding the most dangerous defects as effective as possible.
